Operations
AST has written a comprehensive handbook to assist all state assemblies
with administration, finances, public relations, meetings, educational
programs, website set-up, and government affairs. The State Assembly
Handbook is a valuable resource, and a pdf can be downloaded
here.
Business and Legal Structure for State Assemblies
AST has written a Model State Assembly Policy Manual to help state
assemblies establish their business and legal structure. An assembly's operational structure must be based on the structure of the national AST organization. Therefore, states must use the Model State Assembly Policy Manual to build their assembly.
The manual makes it very easy for a state to build an assembly. All states need to do is to make choices where indicated, and the assembly's legal and business structure will be in accordance with national AST requirements.

To download a Microsoft Word version of the 2008 Model State Assembly Bylaws, please click here. Please see "Rules for making changes to the State Assembly Bylaws" in the State Assembly Policy Manual.

If your state assembly would like to receive a printed copy of the national AST Policy
Manual as a reference, please contact Richard Zamora, member services, by email
